To brave the unknown parts of our thoughts

Our inner child fighting, trying to break down

The barriers that we pushed up, pushed out.

Trying to fit into what is called the social norm.

One does wonder- but the fear of letting go

Holds us from losing oneself to its allure.

Never ending colors cascading

Into puddles of the unknown.

Does one jump into the puddles of chaos?

The chaos that defines our inner child?

Some will return soaked, and elated

From the sheer experience of freedom.

Be freed from the social norms and barriers-

While others quiver along the rim of unknown.

Not knowing how to return to what they know...
